- Prepare 2 cups green peas

- Take 3 medium sized onions sliced
- Provide 2 tomatoes pureed

Steps to make Aloo Matar:
- Slice the onions, make puree of the tomatoes and make a paste of ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander leaves.
- Heat oil in a kadhai add jeera & green cardamom. Add the sliced onions fry till golden brown, add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for few mins. Add haldi powder, dhaniya powder, jeera powder and red chilli powder and fry for few mins add little water if dry
- Then add tomato puree and cook till the masala leaves the sides.
- Add the peas and potatoes and saute for 2 mins in the masala, then add garam masala powder and salt, add hot water and cook covered on medium flame till peas and potatoes are done.
