Instructions to make Methi Dal:
- In pressure cooker add toor dal, masoor dal and wash in cold running water. Wash methi leaves and add this with dal.
- Add chopped onion, tomato, green chilli, garlic, turmeric, hing, salt and oil. Add water and whistle about 5 count or cook until done according to your pressure cooker. You can cook dal in your own style also.
- Release the pressure and mash the dal and add another cup of water let it boil. When it start boiling add handful of coriander leaves.
- Take off this and keep aside. Heat ghee in another kadai add mustard, cumin, red chilli, chopped shallot, curry leaves. Once mustard done crackling pour this over dal adjust salt level and serve hot with steamed rice with dollop of ghee.
